John “JK” Kraman 1956-2025

While watching the Mecum Kissimmee auctions last night, I was shocked and saddened to hear about the recent passing of Mecum commentator John “JK” Kraman.

No cause of death has been officially announced, other than a “brief illness”.

For those who have tuned in to the Mecum auctions, you likely recognized him paired up with commentators BIll Stephens and Scott Hoke.  The trio’s voices were instantly recognizable and they formed a great broadcasting trio.

I have watched them for years and knew that whenever they threw to JK, I was going to learn some kind of insight, often about a classic Corvette.  His knowledge of classic cars was deep and he presented it in an easy to understand way.  

Thanks, JK, for all the enthusiasm, expertise you brought.  You will be terribly missed!
