The John Kraman Collection heads to auction

Back in January we learned of the sad passing of Mecum great John “JK” Kraman.

Well, here’s a heads up that his collection of cars and motorcycles is headed to auction, and who better to offer it than Mecum.

That’s right, at Mecum’s upcoming Indy auction “The JK Collection” will be featured. The collection features five cars and six motorcycles, all crossing the block Thursday, May 15th at No Reserve.

JK was an expert on the Chevrolet Corvette, so it should come as no surprise that three of the five cars are Corvettes. The remaining two cars are a 1967 Pontiac GTO and a 2014 Ford Mustang GT.

My eye is on the GTO, a car that JK owned since 1976. Talk about cool provenance!

Kraman, aka “The Professor” will certainly be missed. Hopefully whoever buys these cars and motorcycles will enjoy them with the same passion he did.
